Pepsi Raw - a new health danger with a different name
pepsi posion
pepsi posion
The soft drink industry is trying to change face in the midst of the rising health epidemics of Obesity and Diabetes that it is causing. Coke is launching a new coke with vitamins added and Pepsi is now launching a beverage with some natural ingredients. But are they any better that before?

Pepsi has created a new, supposedly healthier version of their brand of flavored sugar water, called Pepsi Raw.

Regular Pepsi contains ingredients such as fructose corn syrup, sugar, artificial colors, phosphoric acid, caffeine and citric acid.

Pepsi Raw, in comparison, uses ingredients like apple extract, caramel coloring, coffee leaf, tantaric acid from grapes, gum arabic from acacia trees, cane sugar and sparkling water. It has very slightly fewer calories -- about 10 calories less in a 300ml bottle.

For the moment, Pepsi Raw is only being served in select bars and clubs in parts of England, but a wider rollout is expected later this year

These new so called healthy beverages are not healthy they are bad for your health, it just a big marketing poly to make you think your doing the right thing. PepsiCo's advertising budget for just Diet Pepsi alone was $96 million in 2006. We know now that artificial sweeteners used in diet drinks are hazardous to health.

Any of you who read through this website regularly understand all too well how sugar can destroy your health and why a high-sugar drink can never really be said to improve your health.

First and foremost, sugar is one of the biggest enemies you face in your pursuit of a healthy eating program. It appears in almost everything you eat and drink, making it very difficult to avoid, but avoiding sugary beverages is one of the easiest places to start.

It is a proven fact that sugar increases insulin levels, which can lead to:
  • high blood pressure
  • high cholesterol
  • heart disease
  • diabetes
  • weight gain
  • premature aging, and many more negative side effects

Do yourself a favour today and avoid ALL soft drinks from your diet - use pure fruit juice instead.

In health
